| My name is Steve Duncan. I am an IT professional with extensive skills who has worked with a variety of industries in several different roles. I am currently in search of my next position in Central NJ and the surrounding area, preferably in the business/systems analysis or software development arenas, and have decided to leverage this site as an additional way to market myself. My experiences with both the business process and technical aspects of operations give me a unique skillset that has proven very effective in my previous roles. I also feature a proven track record of rapidly adopting new environments and technologies, as evidenced by the diverse industries I have worked with in the past, such as telecommunications, manufacturing, real estate, retail, services, health care and others. |

| My primary area of expertise is in Business/Systems Analysis. I am an expert at leveraging technology to meet business needs, particularly evaluating business processes, gathering requirements, recommending technical solutions, and implementing and integrating those solutions in existing infrastructure. I also have software and database development skills developed both educationally and through extensive experience developing custom software solutions to meet clients integration needs. My primary development skills are in Java/J2EE and web-based design (HTML and JSP), and I also have had some exposure to C++, PHP, JavaScript, and C#. I have worked with many database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Access, including various database management tools.
