Senior Consultant : Comverse Technology
2005-2009
Comverse is one of the world's leading providers of software and systems to telecommunications companies. My role there was as an implementation consultant tasked with defining project requirements, configuring the Kenan FX software to meet those requirements , creating custom integration solutions when needed, and acting as a liaison between clients and IT developers when larger scale custom development was needed. My acheivements with Comverse include:
  • Integrated the Comverse One/Kenan FX suite of packaged OSS/BSS products into existing client systems using business analysis, solution design, and agile deployment methodologies on multi-million dollar projects across the Americas and the Caribbean
  • Facilitated rapid project deployments using all aspects of SDLC, including requirements gathering, production of technical documents, software integration, testing, training and product support
  • Produced various project related documents such as requirements documents, functional and technical design documents, gap analyses, use cases, systems integration and user acceptance test plans, etc
  • Specified and coded customized integration solutions using Java/J2EE, XML, SQL and APIs

As CCT at the time was a small start-up company, I performed many different roles there, including account manager, systems analyst, web developer, sales and marketing, and project lead. My acheivements with CCT include:
  • Reduced IT infrastructure costs while simultaneously increasing performance and security for clients by performing infrastructure support services in a primarily MS Windows environment including systems/network administration, application support, training, and project management
  • Consulted with senior executives and business owners to evaluate current and future technology requirements and problems with a budget conscious focus on improving the use of technology in daily operations
  • Designed a procedure for performing system audits to determine potential problems/vulnerabilities and cost saving areas in clients’ systems and made recommendations on how best to address those issues
  • Supervised a small staff of results-driven consultants and support personnel that helped grow the company from a startup to a 73% increase in revenues in year two

Penguin Computer Consulting is a small IT consulting and web design business I started while in college. I employed several friends of mine in developing custom software, designing websites, and managing IT operations for local businesses. I eventually stopped operating the business when I relocated to another state. My acheivements with Penguin Computer Consulting include:
  • Starting an IT consulting company focused on systems consulting and web-based application design
